I started a New England Vapers group on Facebook, too, because even though I have a New England Vapers thread on ECF, only a handful of people have posted there. I do think the third place will work out, but if it doesn’t, I may try to find something not in Worcester. Maybe West Springfield?

I know there are way more people in MA. who vape just from the number I know!
In response to brewlady’s query’s on venues, why must people interject their own feelings about what we do because we want to rent/use a room? Does it matter if she doesn’t like it, the bartending ex-smoker who thinks it’s stupid?
Perhaps she thinks it’s stupid because she never bothered to find out about vaping, but this is besides the point.
Is it her bar? Does the board of health regulate the bar licenses in Worcester county? I’m just curious.
Is there somewhere else you might find a place like a little town nearby?
Boston is going to try to ban ecigs and smoking outdoors so Worcester can’t be far behind.
It hasn’t been put up for a vote yet thankfully, or put on the calendar.

Update on meeting…I think I have found a place to have meetings in Worcester. I emailed the event manager, and I received this reply yesterday:
Just forwarded you email to my GM. I think its a great way to ease others to be comfortable with vaping (I’m a fan myself!). Ill get back to you early next week,
I have checked out a few different places. The first place would have been a great location, but the bartender was an ex-smoker who thought it was stupid and that I should just quit, like she did. My second stop was a nice little local bar/restaurant, where I spoke with the owner. He wanted to put us in a room hidden from view of the main bar area, and wanted me to get permission from the Worcester board of health. I can think of no better way to get a ban on the books than for me to innocently ask for PERMISSION to do something that is legal. So that one is out. Lets hope the General Manager of the third place is receptive to us. If so, how does the second Sunday of each month sound, starting with May 8th?

I had to get a letter from the states attorney’s office stating the vaping wasn’t against the law indoors in the state of CT

West Springfield would be good as I live in Palmer and it’s not too far to go. I might actually be able to attend.
If the meeting does take place in Worcester, we might be able to carpool since I’m in Wilbraham.
