Of late, I've been vaping my way through the Dekang range of tobacco flavoured juices (as I mentioned in the "Stealthy Screwdriver" entry) either in Liberty Flights or ecisdirect.com guises. The reviews can be seen here:

Dekang have recently introduced Vegetable Glycerin versions of some of their liquids (so far I've only seen them at ecisdirect.com). I've been trying out the Gold & Silver (Benson & Hedges) VG version over the last few days (review on second link above), and the experience, coupled with previous experience of Intellicigs VG liquids (Rich Tobacco in my case), has led me to reflect on the nature of VG as a vaping liquid base,

There is no doubt that a VG version produces both more vapour, and vapour that hangs in the air longer, than a PG version of the same flavour. However, I'm convinced that VG produces significantly less hit than a PG equivalent. Also I found VG leaves a "stickiness" around my lips and dries out my mouth more. Some other vendors have a small proportion of VG in their PG liquids (presumably to aid vapour production) and I've noticed these produce the same symptoms (to a much reduced extent).

So - vape up your vegetables - I'm not sure I will - or at least I'll stick to an "omnivorous" diet...

Prof Beard, I think VG dries the mouth more than PG and agree I would rather not vape my veggies. Dick, vg is use in lots of stuff and I think it gimmes up the atomizers too. Since I have stayed away from VG I have not lost an atty in about 6 weeks. I think VG leave a residue in the attys. Thats my 25 cents works,

As I recall, some people use glycerine in some kind of culinary manner to do just that prof, add sweetness, though frankly, I don't recall it being a 'sweetener' persay. I personally would be more concerned with whether the sweetness is indicative of natural sugars that could, over time, gum up the atomizers.
